( HISTORY ) : Charlotte was born to Damien and Hollis Sutherland in Georgia in May of 1980. Her parents were both from prominent American pureblood families, and her father's family is often considered one of the most powerful pureblood families in the Americas. Despite her parents having their home in Atlanta, Charlie spent the vast majority of her childhood at her grandfather's farm near Milledgeville. While her family tends to be on the pureblood supremist side, they don't think that muggleborns and halfbloods should be wiped from the earth. Instead, they merely see them as lower classes. In her fifth year, her school (Phoenixin) was attacked and nearly razed to the ground. Her family, not approving of any schools in the United States, decided to send her to live with her uncle in England.

She normally appears self-assured and confident on the outside, but that facade masks her insecurities and fears, especially in light of her school's destruction.
