Four house tables sit in front of a high table, where the staff sits. Above, the ceiling is enchanted to mimic whatever weather is outside.

KITCHEN
Tickle the pear to get inside! The kitchen is a large room with a brick fireplace at one end, and preparation tables, from which the food is magically transported through the ceiling into the great hall.

HOSPITAL WING
Two dozen or so beds line the walls of the hospital wing for those who are ill. In recent times, the hospital wing has become very crowded, thanks to Voldemort's epidemic.

The dungeon passages and rooms under the castle have stone walls and are lit by torches. It is quite chilly here, even in summer.
