( HISTORY ) :

Claus was in Germany on August 23, 1979 as the first son the head of the German Ministry of Magic’s Department of Magical Games and Sports and his wife who already had three daughters. As his father’s only son, he was pushed very hard to prepare for a future in politics and sport despite the fact that the country was slowly crumbling under the pressures of war with Voldemort; not that his family cared much since they were loyal to the Dark Lord anyway. At the insistence of his father, as a child he became fluent in not only German, but Swedish, French, and English as well as they traveled due to his job.

That he was talented in languages, and had a lot of charisma pleased his father who insisted on homeschooling him until age 14, but Claus had different ideas about what he wanted to do.If it hadn’t been a time of war, Claus would have enjoyed being a politician, but with the collapsing government, he didn’t see much of a point going into it, when he thought that his job there would eventually become obsolete.

So, he decided on the next best thing that would allow him to become the politician that he had been groomed to be if the Dark Lord won the war; to become a skilled wizard and prove himself to Voldemort upon his (hopeful) return. Deciding this led him to become more violent in nature and he began to get into fights a lot with others his age, and even managed to tag along on a few of his fathers missions. The first few went well, but in the mission where his father died, he also almost lost his life.

When he was fourteen, his father died in a dark wizard raid against muggles and muggle lovers that he had been leading. It was a pity that his father died, but Claus actually relieved at the death of his father because he no longer had the pressure to become a politician in the Wizarding World and could proceed to do what he wanted to do. After all, his mother and sisters had never been very involved with his life and they didn’t seem to care very much what he did.

When he was 15 he took the Dark Mark and persuaded his mother to let him go to Durmstrang for school, and then with the news that Voldemort had won against Harry Potter, he pressured her into letting him go to Hogwarts and now he is a foreign exchange student at Hogwarts due to his wish to serve the Dark Lord better than he had been.

( PERSONALITY ) :

Rebellious. Aloof. Stubborn. Unforgiving. Vain. 
Prideful. Disciplined.  Ambitious. Devoted. 

Like almost every pureblood, Claus has a large amount of vanity and pride in being one, and he is even more prideful than some because his family has had a long connection to Voldemort. However, though he is extremely devoted to the Dark Lord and his cause, Claus has issues with authority (particularly teachers) and will not hesitate to make their lives horrible by disobeying their orders, pulling pranks, etc.

However, this rebellious nature is only with people that he does not believe to Death Eaters. If the authority is a Death Eater, he will not hesitate to obey because that is the cause that he is loyal to. He is ambitious enough to think that if he plays his cards right, he might make it into the Dark Lord's inner circle.

Once he has decided something it is hard to get him to change his mind without the proper motivation or proof. He is extremely stubborn and unforgiving about certain things and can be quite cruel with some one who tries to get him to change his mind, or has done something to beget rage from him. Claus is not someone you want on your bad side because once you're there he'll do nothing to make your live a living hell. It is rumored that he cut two fingers off of a boys hand and turned them into snakes in the middle of transfiguration class at Durmstrang, but he'll let you decide whether there is truth to that.

(APPEARANCE ) :

Reaching 5'11", Claus is a tall, well toned and handsome young man with a characteristically sarcastic smile that never manages to reach his cold and calculating steely grey blue eyes. His brown hair is slicked back more often than not, but sometimes he will let it free and then it is a slightly curly mop of hair. He has elegant porcelain skin that looks like he has never worked a day of his life, but he does look a little too pale to the point of almost looking sickly. The only things that mar his features are small scars from knife fights, and a particularly nasty looking curse scar on the right side of his shoulder and chest where he was hit with a blast curse (which would have killed him if he had not moved).

I only see one problem with this: Voldemort was still "missing" until Claus was 14. So perhaps instead of leading raids on Voldemort's orders, his father was leading raids on dark wizards who were still following Voldemort's philosophy? Going to go ahead and move this to the accepted board!
